Mr. Michael
Hrebenar attended West Virginia University and received a
fellowship from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and
International Affairs at Princeton University. He is also a
graduate of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at
Rutgers University. Mr. Hrebenar oversees all aspects of the
corporation. Over the last eighteen years, he has been
directly responsible for the acquisition and oversight of
problem assets whose book values total more than $1 billion.
Prior to
forming NC Ventures, Inc. in 1998, Mr. Hrebenar held
numerous executive positions including: President and CEO of
NAB Asset Corporation and National Asset Bank (a bank in
liquidation), both public companies. He subsequently took
the joint ventures held by those companies private; Senior
Vice President of the National Loan Bank (a bank in
liquidation), which was the first “junk” bank created in the
US; and as the executive responsible for the development and
implementation of a credit review department for Mellon
Bank, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Mr. Hrebenar
spent the first twenty-one years of his career with the U.S.
Treasury Department as a bank regulator and was accorded the
title of Senior National Bank Examiner. He was in charge of
the Pittsburgh region and performed many special projects
for the Comptroller of the Currency over the years.
